School Choice and the problem of bureaucracy

Here’s a great clip from a British T.V. show on how government bureaucracy has ingrained itself to the school system and how hard it is to dislodge it.

This is a great post! This sounds just like what is currently happening in the US. The government feels as if they have to control everything. All we have to do is let the markets reign. If the school is bad no one will go there. Conversely, a good school will gain students. It's that simple.

Try telling that to the NEA. They don't want school choice because it means that bad teachers & administrators will be exposed and hopefully fired.
