That's very funny. They're not opposed to drilling, but only opposed to drilling in areas where there is oil. LOL.

The second cartoon. I'm not sure exactly what is being depicted. Is it portraying the congress going on vacation? Please enlighten me.

The second cartoon are Fannie and Freddie Mac, the two large mortgage giants and GSE's (Government Sponsored Enterpise/Entities), that are on the brink of insolvency. If they do go "bankrupt" the taxpayer (the person opening the door to his house) gets to foot the bill; In the cartoon the host has to live with these two bloated family members.

I think I understand the second cartoon now. It's talking about the lending institution GMAE going bankrupt and having to go to live with relatives?
