Why go to college when public sector jobs are so SWEET!

The only way to begin to solve this problem, is to Abolish all Federal Departments. Except Commerce.

Then cut all current, and future pensions by 2/3. That would be kinda like all the working folks, who have to live on Social Security.

Don, I agree. The public sector pension plans are underwater in California and they want taxpayers in the private sector to foot the bill for losses. Unbelievable! They want equality? Then let them have their losses like everyone else!

Why not privatize the Post Office? It seems that is diminishing in its relevance anyway. People who work for a department such as Welfare are losing their jobs to computerization, just as those who once worked for Labor & Industry doing Unemployment Comp. lost their jobs. We are moving in the right direction, but I know one thing for certain. Pennsylvania (my state) is bloated with State Reps who have plenty of perks.

I think a good reason that the Post Office is not private is the protection of the mail itself. A privatized mail system would be more susceptible to theft, and invasion of privacy. However, now that the government is involved in theft and invasion of privacy...
