The war that punishes patients dealing with pain

This is frightening and sickening. To some extent I can understand why doctors are reluctant to prescribe pain meds, but there must be a balance. I have a 27 year old daughter who has suffered with migraines since she was eight. To watch her try to live her life as a wife, mother and career woman with this chronic pain is heart-wrenching. If Obama does force tighter regs on these needed meds, he will only force people to go on the street and seek them. This is a war on drugs?

I don't know if this is a state thing or national thing but if you try to buy more than 2 boxes of Sudafed a month in Virginia you may have a police officer knocking on your door. It's past being ridiculous.

askcherlock: Sorry to hear about your daughter's troubles with migraines; it's not easy to see a loved one suffer with pain. Sadly, we have become such a media driven society that when a Hollywood type overdoes his/her medication, the government is called upon to "do something."
